About this website

This website is run by Weald Aid for Ukraine, an informal volunteer group (not a registered charity or company) based in Horsted Keynes and Forest Row, East Sussex. By using it you accept these terms.

Donations

Weald Aid for Ukraine is a volunteer group, not a registered charity, so we can't claim Gift Aid on donations. Money given to Weald Aid is used for our trips to Ukraine: fuel, crossings, preparing vehicles and buying aid. Vehicles and supplies are accepted at the team's discretion, and once given they're ours to send where they're most needed.

How donations are taken

Bank transfers go straight into Weald Aid's own bank account. Online donations are taken by PayPal on its own secure page, under PayPal's terms; we never see your card details.

Whenever we know who a gift is from, we'll get in touch to say thank you and mention the amount we received, so you can check it's what you meant to give.

If you gave more than you meant to, for example by typing an extra zero, email wealdaidforukraine@gmail.com within 7 days of giving and we'll refund the mistaken amount, to the card or PayPal account you used or to the account it came from. Refunds of the rest aren't usually possible once the money has gone towards a trip.

Appeals, events and the wishlist

We keep appeals, events and the supplies wishlist up to date, but plans change. If you're making a special trip to drop something off, please contact us first.

Photos and words

The photos, logo and words on this site belong to Weald Aid for Ukraine, or are used with permission. Please ask before reusing them. If you appear in a photo here and would like it taken down, email wealdaidforukraine@gmail.com and we'll remove it.

Links to other sites

We link to other websites, such as Instagram and event booking pages. We aren't responsible for what's on them.

Liability

We provide this site as it is, for information. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss from relying on it. Nothing here limits liability where the law says it can't be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
