Horsted Keynes & Forest Row · Run by volunteers

We drive help to Ukraine ourselves.

A small team from two Sussex villages. We load donated vehicles with aid, drive them across Europe and hand everything over in person, to an orphanage, front-line medics and animal rescues we know by name.

Small on purpose

We're a handful of neighbours, not an organisation with an office. That's deliberate. Staying small means we know the people we deliver to, we drive every mile ourselves, and we can tell you exactly where your gift ended up.

01

We ask first

The orphanage, the medics and the rescues tell us what they need. We only collect what's on that list, so every space in the van counts.

02

We drive it ourselves

No warehouse, no courier, no middlemen. Our own volunteers drive the 1,500 miles to Kyiv, and the vehicles stay there.

03

We hand it over

In person, to people we know. Then we report back in the trip log, so you can see what your gift did.

Bert and Rikkia go to work

30 September 2026

Both vehicles we took over in August have reached the front line. Rikkia is having some minor repairs before getting back to work. Bert is working hard with the Third Army Corps, helping transport medics to support and, if necessary, remove injured soldiers from the front line.

How you can help

Three ways to get help where it's needed

01

Give money

Fuel, crossings and repairs come before a single coat is handed over. Any amount, once or monthly.

Donate
02

Give a vehicle

Your old 4x4, estate or van could carry medics to the front line. We drive it there and hand over the keys.

Offer a vehicle
03

Give supplies

Winter coats, children's clothes, art supplies and car tools, from a list the people we support give us.

Trip 13 appeal

Our thirteenth run to the orphanage, the front-line medics and the animal rescues we support. Fuel, crossings and vehicle repairs come first, so every gift gets the next load moving.

What it's for

  • Fuel and tolls for the 1,500-mile drive to Kyiv
  • The Channel crossing for every vehicle
  • Servicing and repairs so the vehicles survive the journey and the front line
  • Winter coats and children's clothes for the orphanage

We're aiming to leave early in the new year. Everything we take stays in Ukraine: the vehicles, and everything packed inside them.

Our flower

Found in Kyiv, after a night of attacks

On Martin's first trip to Kyiv, after a night of attacks and damage, he found a perfect little flower growing in Ukraine's national colours, blue and yellow. We turned it into the graphic you see on everything we do. In a time of destruction and fear, it felt positive and inspiring, and it still reminds us why we keep going.
