What we aim for
We want everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've done
- The main text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute to be easy to read for people with low vision.
- Text and buttons meet the AA contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and there's a skip link to the main content.
- Every image has a text description, and every form field has a label.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the animations switch off.
- Pages work at any width down to small phones, and text can be enlarged without breaking the layout.
Known limits
- Photos added by the team after launch depend on the team writing a description; the admin asks for one with every upload.
- Some posters shared on Instagram are images of text. The same details are always written out on this website.
Dropping off donations
Our drop-off points in Horsted Keynes and Forest Row are by arrangement. If steps, parking or carrying things would be difficult, tell us when you get in touch and we'll collect from you instead, or meet you somewhere that suits you.
Tell us about a problem
If anything on this site doesn't work for you, please email wealdaidforukraine@gmail.com. We'll aim to reply within a week and fix what we can.
